The Christmas Tour of Homes is a holiday tour of uniquely decorated properties in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The event will feature docent-led commentaries on the history of each property as well as the unique holiday decorations. The Christmas Tour of Homes is a self-guided walking tour. You may begin at any of the 3 properties listed below. There will be docents to guide you through the interior of each venue. The entire tour takes between 2.5 and 3 hours. Please plan accordingly.

Rusca House – 124 Rue Poete From the porch swing to the lovely formal gardens, relaxation and Southern charm will grace your visit of the Rusca House and gardens. Built in the California bungalow style, Rusca was totally refurbished to its original beauty by the present owners. The Rusca House operates as a bed and breakfast and is available for rent. Samuel Guy House – 309 Rue Pine This Greek Revival house, built in 1850 by Samuel Eldridge Guy, was the centerpiece of a working plantation in Mansfield, LA. The house was carefully dismantled and moved to its current Natchitoches location for re-assembly and restoration. The 50-foot central hallway is banked by massive cabinets showcasing Duncan Royal Santas, Hummel figurines, and cookie jars by Fitz & Floyd. His home was considered a showplace of its time, containing more elaborate architectural details than other structures in the area. It is the largest bousillage structure in North America.
